Gynochthodes podistra (Halford & A.J.Ford) Razafim. & B.Bremer
A  vine from the rainforest at Mt Lewis. It is endemic to the headwaters of the Daintree River. It was previously known as Morinda podistra. The specific epithet podistra is Greek meaning 'foot trap'. The wiry stems of this species often form dense stands in which feet can get caught.
